Toccoa Riverside Retreat

Couldn’t be happier with this house! Gorgeous inside and out and views of the river were stunning. Perfect for a big group of adults and kids. We had kids ages 11-7 weeks and it fit everyone’s needs and tons to do for kiddos plus easy drive to town. Highly highly recommend and we will be back!

This well appointed, well furnished, completely equipped house was perfect for my family of 12 adults and 3 small children. The hot tub was a hit as was the wonderful fire pit with sufficient number of comfy chairs around the fire. We had s'mores and enjoyed the fire 2 nights! Even firewood was furnished! Plenty of storage for food and multiple refrigerators made at home cooking fun and easy. Every utensil and appliance we needed was there and in working order. Plenty of seating in the great room and we loved the plentiful seating for dining. One little suggestion…..upgrade/replace the bed linens. They were so thin and well worn, not reflective of the rest of the property. We loved the rental and hope to return. Thank you.

I have used third-party booking systems around the country for both personal and professional travel. This was one of the very best experiences I have had. The host made the process simple—easy booking, easy setup, and an easy stay.The property and location are gorgeous, and everything worked exactly as it should, allowing us to focus on family time. Overall, the house was really good. Wonderful location, great amenities and cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed the view of the river and had a lot of fun using sauna and pool. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. A lot of blankets, shampoos and conditioners included, clean grill.
However, the treehouse was missing, which was disappointing. Towels and bedding were not fresh and had a raw smell. There were also some issues with a water pressure in a shower. Finally - some furniture feels like it’s old.
I have to mention that owner was really nice to us and always helped to solve problems. One time we even asked to clean the pool are and the owner immediately called cleaning service.
Good house, but needs some work on it!

we had 18 family members stay and there was something for everyone to do. we had 2 small problems while we were there and the owners were very responsive and handled it immediately. our 87 year old grandpa went with us and was able to even make it down to the fire pit with assistance to hang out and was even able to fish. we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend

This was our second year at the River Estate at Toccoa and we had another amazing stay. This place is perfect for grandparents, children, spouses, and grandkids to get away. There’s plenty of room. The heated hot tub pool and sauna were perfect when the weather was a bit chilly. The house was well stocked. Having two refrigerators upstairs in the kitchen was a nice addition and helpful for those doing meal prep. There are lot of local hikes and if course there is the river for tubing. We can’t commend this place enough.

Our family joined us here at this beautiful cabin on the Toccoa River for our wedding. We had enough space for everyone to stay comfortably. We especially loved how there weren't a million bunkbeds in every room. All the rooms had king beds, except one which had the bunkbeds and twins. We only have two kids so we were happy to not have to make adults sleep in the bunk beds. There were a lot of things to do around the property, so we only left the house to go to town for the essentials and groceries. We had our entire wedding here (elopement style) with 15 guests, all of who stayed at the property. It was intimate and perfect. We had a little hiccup with the dishwasher, which was a little stressful being as it was the day before our wedding, but the owners had a new one installed the next day before our chef came in to cook. We took our wedding photos around the property and they came out beautiful. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub! The fireplace was amazing since it was January and the highs were in the 20s while we were there! The kids loved the movie theatre and we even watched the football playoffs in there on Sunday! The outdoor fire pit was great- thank you for having wood for us to use! We enjoyed some fishing on the river and loved exploring down there on the banks and rocks. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathrooms and bedrooms were comfortable and luxurious. Overall, we would love to come back and stay, (maybe we can try the summertime so we can swim in the river!) and we would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a relaxing and private winter get-away.. or wedding! :)

Absolutely stunning home! We were there for a 75th birthday family weekend and it was just lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped, which was really helpful when family was preparing the birthday dinner. We were a little surprised to find that only one of the main bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. The description was a little misleading. Or maybe it was just that I interpreted the description incorrectly. At any rate, we are all family and we worked it out. It didn’t detract from our nice weekend. We would definitely stay here again. In fact, we all discussed a possible trip back next year!

This was a 50th birthday celebration with college friends and spouses. The house was perfect, as there was a king room and bathroom for each couple. The amenities were perfect with the sauna, hot tub, theater room and common areas. Everyone had their own space but in close proximity to stay connected. We came as a family of 12 at the last minute. Having arrived at another home that was unacceptable for our family which was a great disappointment.
Then we found the Toccoa River Retreat and we were in heaven! Every family member from Papa to the 7 year old had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In fact no one wanted to leave.
The fire pit was great as was the extra large hot tub overlooking the river. There was just so much to enjoy that the kids never complained. 45 acres for the boys to check out. They loved it!
Everything was really clean and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. The 2 sided fireplace is gorgeous!
My only complaint is that the family room furniture is very uncomfortable. I think it’s just worn out. Everything else was great. That is an important part of the house though.
Hope to bring the family back again. We love Blue Ridge.

Room for our large family to sleep comfortably and to spread out. WiFi could be better. Well stocked kitchen. Acreage was nice for walking . Our last morning there , a mama bear and her cubs visited the trash can area even though ours were closed and locked. One lock was rusted and therefore didn’t work.We had to spend some time picking trash up. Over all nice but probably won’t stay again because of a noisy music neighbor blaring from morning til night.

This house is absolutely beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. Tons of rooms for guests, tons of things to do in the house, and tons of space. It was very clean, even the floors, and it was easy to keep clean.
The heated pool and sauna were AMAZING to have in the winter, and the fire place led to a really relaxing night.
Located 15ish minutes from downtown blue ridge, you get ultimate privacy while having the ability to get food at a restaurant of go look at some stores.

Beautiful location and the house is built to enjoy it. It’s great for large “couples” groups that are staying especially with more than two king beds, and this house provided 6! The seventh bedroom accommodated 4 others. We loved the fireplace! The bathrooms were very nice. There were many luxury amenities to be in a cabin.

Our family had a wonderful time: we walked to the ponds, went down to the river, hung out in the cabin, used sauna and the outdoor jacuzzi. It is too small to be a pool, so we named it jappoolzy :) The views and multiple balconies are great!

The house is very spacious and the views are incredible. The theater is a nice touch for rainy days and there are olenty of things to do in the surrounding area but you won't need it with all the amenities on the property!

Children and grandchildren gathered with us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. There are 16 of us, and this property had plenty of room to accommodate us comfortably. The home is absolutely beautiful and has astonishing views of the Toccoa River that are simply breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, with very spacious rooms. The massive living room provided seating for all of us to gather for family fun, but the sofas are looking a bit worn and you get poked occasionally with the goose down feathers coming through. The kitchen was well stocked, but recommend larger or 2nd frig to accommodate large parties. The grands enjoyed the theater room, the spa, wading in the river, and fishing at the pond. They were disappointed the tree house was no longer accessible and even our experienced campers weren’t able to get a fire going with wood provided. While the house sits on many acres, much of it is too steep around the house for the kids to run around and play outside under watchful supervision from inside. The pond area offers more level ground but is a good walk from the house requiring an adult to accompany them there. Visiting the fire pit area and riverside deck is quite a challenge for anyone with the slightest of mobility issues, yet the balconies above let you watch your party enjoy themselves. Tranquility, spaciousness, comfort, and astonishing views are what this property is all about, and that trumps all else!

S'mores at riverside fire pit made memories along with the treehouse. Fishing the ponds gave everyone prized catches :). Many nearby hikes with waterfalls and swinging bridge. Quaint town of Blue Ridge offers nice walk along unique shops. Our adult children have told all their friends and family how the Toccoa River Retreat was their favorite vacation home and would definitely come again.

A great relaxing spot for us all!! The house has a gorgeous view, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the comfortable chairs, watching the kayaks, and the Rafts come down the river. The teenagers enjoyed fishing ponds, and exploring the grounds. The hot tub and the sauna were incredible after a chilly dip in the river. We had wonderful family meals at the large table looking out over the river. The town of Blue Ridge is inviting, with lots of shopping, a great grocery store is about 20 minutes away, and I highly recommend the blue ridge train ride.

David’s cabin was truly a wonderful place to stay. The views around the property were great, the perfect place to drink your coffee in the morning. Everything inside the cabin was in great condition and the property had tons of nice bedrooms with amble bathrooms for all guests. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The inside is beautiful. The furniture is ample & comfortable & the beds were comfortable with many pillows. Private decks from bedrooms on the main floor; the kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking Easter dinner, and the children enjoyed an egg hunt, roasting smores, grilling, & playing in the playhouse.
The hardest decision was choosing which bedroom or bathroom I wanted; each of them included comfy beds, deep tubs for relaxation or showers to drench yourself surrounded with marble.
If you need to make a quick run to the store, Food Lion or Wal Mart was a 15 minute drive.
The photos doesn't do this place justice, the serenity and relaxation of listening to the river and other sounds of nature will take your breath away.
The cleanliness was so impeccable we left a tip in every room to show our gratitude for an immaculate dwelling which coincided with the enjoyment of nature with the entire family. This home was worth every dollar.

This house is absolutely beautiful and the amenities on the property are great! All of the beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of gathering space for our entire group of 18, and we really enjoyed our time. The only negatives I will say is that we really wished there had been some extra blankets we could use while sitting on the patio or living room. There was not a single thing in any drawer anywhere. It also seemed a little bit weird to me that we only had a limited supply of the basics like toilet paper, dishwasher/laundry soap, and paper towels. I know there was a warning about this in the welcome email, but for the amount you pay in fees for these places you'd think that things like toilet paper would be included. It was nice that we were provided with travel shampoo and soap for each person as rentals don't often have that, but truthfully I would rather just get an unlimited (or more substantial) supply of those basic things and skip the toiletries since anyone who has ever stayed in a Vrbo before should know to bring their own. Overall we were very happy and those are just two small details.

The property was spacious and breath taking. We loved the high ceilings and the view from the bedrooms. My family had an amazing time. It was more than enough room to spread out. We enjoyed the spa. Would have liked for the water temperature to be higher. The lights went out several times. There was a generator but it only lit certain areas. All in all we loved the home and would visit again.

Home was beautiful and great location. Only negative was it doesn't have 3 ensuites on the first floor as indicated. Only one room actually has a bathroom attached. The other two "suites" you have to go across the hall. It is still a bathroom that can be for that bedroom specifically, but you have to go outside the room to get to it. There were also a few repairs we let the manager know about. The location was great for tubing (must do), boating, and hiking. The large great room was perfect.

We had 13 adults, and 3 kids (12y, 9y, and 16 month old). We chose this property because of the living space, number of bedrooms and the river views. This home is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the living area had room for all of our family (pulling in extra chairs and combining the two finding tables). The AC thermostats worked well. With 7 bedrooms (6 kings) and expecting to sleep 18, there was only one refrigerator which was disappointing and definitely not enough room for our food, requiring us to use several coolers with ice and the wine fridge on the lower level to store cold food. But there were two washing machines and dryers (a set on each level), which wasn’t really necessary. The river is gorgeous and the house a short drive to two tubing rental places. The tubing was the most fun of all the activities we did (even in the rain)! There are a lot of stairs and steep inclines to get down to the river. So if you have an elderly person like we did (86yo), they would not be able to enjoy the fire pit or river deck. The jacuzzi was nice and we enjoyed it many times during our stay. There are many waterfalls and trails to enjoy within an hours drive of the house and downtown Blue Ridge that has a local strip of shops and restaurants. The living area furniture was ok, but the couches and matching chairs were feather. 3 people in our family are allergic to feathers, so it was not comfortable seating for them. All in all a nice stay and our family had a great time together.

What a wonderful property! The house accommodated 4 families (8 adults/6kids) with ease. There was plenty of space so no one was on top of one another, the view of the Toccoa was phenomenal, and quite frankly, didn't even need to leave the house to “experience” Blue Ridge. The home is in close proximity to anything you would want to do in the area. The kids' “best part” of the trip was tubing down the river. Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

The home and location was absolutely beautiful. It offered a great experience for our family from grandparents to grandkids.
The air conditioner did not work the first day, but David was able to send a repair person out the next morning, even though it was a holiday weekend. There were no hairdryers in the house, but he was able to locate 2 for us. The house had not been properly cleaned. David offered to send the cleaning crew out again , but we had already settled in and decided not to have them come while we were there.
David was certainly easy to talk to and extremely helpful in resolving the issues we had.

Our whole family usually does a beach house vacation but this year we decided to change it up and all 17 of us from ages 10-92 had a wonderful time. Got to do different activities that we don't do at the beach houses like white water rafting, horse back riding, ziplining and it was great. David and Mandy from Coastal Vibe Vacations were helpful and informative and the house is gorgeous. We would definitely consider coming back to the property.

This property is SPECTACULAR! We felt blessed to be able to share this amazing space as a family! There is so much to do and see it's hard to list everything. The views and sounds of the river are absolutely wonderful! The movie theater was definitely a highlight along with the outdoor pool and bar area. We loved everything about it! There's a place to rent tubes and hop in the river literally 5 minutes from cabin! So much fun! If you have the chance this place is a must! David w/Mountain Vibe Vacations is great to work with!

The Airbnb listing for this property can barely do the home and location justice! Moments after I walked in, I thought, "This is even better than the pictures!"
The home is very well appointed for a property of this size and the housekeeping team clearly took care to leave the property impeccable before our stay. The owners' suite is truly breathtaking, with stunning views, pleasing decor, a fantastic tub, and a lovely rain shower head with many adjustable features. The kitchen has just about every dish, cooking utensil, cutlery, and cookware you could need. The living room is spacious and well decorated, not to mention the view! The added features of the sauna, bar, foosball table, and two-sided fireplace are icing on the cake.
We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor features as well, including the hot tub/spa, the fire pit and the outdoor seating areas along the river. The summer kitchen is an added bonus that we enjoyed on our first night, grilling out and taking a dip in the spa with the outdoor TV playing.
It's certainly not cheap for the area, but it's worth every penny in my opinion. We'll almost certainly be returning to this property in the future. My only hesitation in recommending others to book is that they'll book the time I want to visit before me!

We absolutely loved this house and the location. We stayed here with 6 couples and everyone was comfortable. There was more than enough space for all of us. The hot tub/ plunge pool was a favorite. There were plenty of towels, but the house did not have enough pool towels for 12, unless we missed them. The house is huge, so this is entirely possible. Luckily we arrived first and were able to let everyone know to bring a pool towel. The downstairs bar was also a fun place to hang out. We also loved the sauna! This was truly a luxury vacation home. We will definitely be back.

The house was incredible for our size group (4 Families) with plenty of areas for the kids to play and the adults to relax. The infinity hot tub was a big hit with the kids. Definitely would recommend this house.

The house is beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook for and feed 14 people! We had tons of space for playing games and completing puzzles, reading, and watching TV or movies. The river views were amazing and we spent most of the days in and out of the large hot tub and sauna. It was cold while we were there and even snowed a little so we were super impressed and grateful that the on site generator kept the heat and most of the lights on until the power was restored.

If you’re looking for a luxurious cabin experience, this is definitely where you’ll want to stay. We stayed here with some close friends for my husband’s 30th birthday. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor heated pool which was truly the highlight of the trip. The entire house is beautiful and spacious enough for a group. You can’t beat the views and the amenities. My husband was obsessed with the sound quality and overall experience of the in-home theater. David is an awesome communicator and was very helpful both leading up to my stay and while I was there. He even quickly sent out someone to assist us with an issue with the microwave within 10 minutes. We had an incredible time and will definitely be back!

My family and I traveled down from NY to this beautiful house and met family traveling up from Florida - we all had the best stay celebrating our grandmothers 80th birthday. From the morning views, to the nighttime movies, to the hot tub and sauna in between with sitting by the fire after dinner there's always something to do! Weather permitting get out there and explore the grounds it's an amazing property that my whole family and I never experienced and surely will never forget! Merry Christmas!

My friends and I planned a women's weekend away in Blue Ridge and we wanted to be in a place that was serine and would promote true relaxation and enjoyment! This home was perfect for that! We lounged in the heated pool overlooking the river, spent time in the sauna and enjoyed many meals and yoga together while taking in the breathtaking views from the floor to ceiling windows in the foyer. The house was spacious and comfortable and right in the middle of the Aska Adventure area so we were able to hike and truly experience nature. There were plenty of plates and dishes, cooking utensils and wine glasses available for us to enjoy! It was perfect and I could not have asked for anything more.

Awesome place! We celebrated a 1 year old bday another bday and a 2y/o anniversary here. We enjoyed seeing the kayakers float by and cheered them on! Every family member had space which was important. We will be back 🥰

We enjoyed all the outdoor areas, decks, fire pit, river landing, BBQ and pool. Inside the amenities, bedrooms, bathrooms and theater were pure luxury. Booking and check-in were easy, and the team was very timely/helpful with a few questions/items we encountered during our stay. We have rented for over 15 years in the Blue Ridge Mountains and never stayed at a place with such beautiful views and vast grounds. The whole group can't wait to return for another amazing reunion. Thanks to Josh and David for their efforts, the new property is incredible.
