Ladybugs
🐞 Fun Fact
A single ladybug can eat up to 5,000 plant-damaging insects in its lifetime, making them one of nature’s most effective (and eco-friendly) pest control helpers.
A Note About Ladybugs & Asian Lady Beetles
Our Mountain Vibe homes are thoughtfully placed in some of the most beautiful natural settings in Pigeon Forge, Blue Ridge, and Ellijay. Being immersed in the mountains means sharing the environment with local wildlife — including ladybugs and Asian lady beetles, which are common in this region during certain times of year.
These insects are harmless to people and pets and are naturally drawn to warmth and sunlight. While we take proactive steps to reduce their presence, it’s not uncommon for a few to find their way indoors in mountain homes, even with professional care.
What We Do for Our Guests
- Every home is professionally cleaned and inspected prior to arrival, including the removal of any visible insects.
- We work with licensed pest control providers who follow regional and environmental regulations. Because ladybugs and Asian lady beetles are a protected species, chemical treatments that eliminate them are not permitted.
- We’re happy to provide vacuums and, when needed, assist with cleanup or mitigation during your stay to help you remain comfortable.
Setting Expectations
The occasional presence of ladybugs or Asian lady beetles is considered a natural part of staying in a mountain retreat and is not reflective of cleanliness or maintenance standards. As this is an environmental and seasonal occurrence, it is not typically grounds for refunds or compensation. That said, our team is always available to support you and ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.
At Mountain Vibe Vacations, we believe luxury and nature go hand in hand. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you for a peaceful, elevated mountain escape.
